Berger Paints Pakistan

Berger Paints Pakistan Ltd. conducted a Recruitment Drive (Employment Test) in collaboration with Office of Career Services (OCS) at UMT Lahore Campus on December 22, 2015. They targeted MBA- Supply Chain fresh graduates and last semester evening program students for the test to be taken for their on going Management Trainee Executive program at Berger Paints Plant.

13 students were shortlisted by Berger Paints Pakistan and around 6 appeared for the test.

The test contained MCQs regarding basic IQ, Maths and English. Representatives of Berger Paints were quite satisfied by the student and OCS team's response and will provide feedback shortly.

Nayatel Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Office of Career Services (OCS) conducted employment tests for engineering positions. They carried this employement test for the position of Trainee Network Support Engineers (for Faisalabad and Islamabad offices) at UMT Lahore campus.

Nayatel Pvt. Ltd., a leading telecom operator of Islamabad and Rawalpindi is now starting its operations in Faisalabad, offering ultra-broadband Internet, HD Cable TV and Telephony services and employing 900+ professionals.

Around 100+ registrations were submitted and ​about 57 candidates appeared for the employement test sessions from ​Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Software Engineering background.

UBL Funds Manager in collaboration with Office of Career Services (OCS) conducted interviews for entry level positions under UBL Young Advisers Program (YAP) for Sales & Advisory at UMT Lahore campus.

UBL Fund Managers is a leading Asset Management Company operating in Pakistan over a decade, offering savings and investment solutions to Institutional and Individual clients. 

Around 30+ registrations were submitted and ​about 10 appeared for the interview sessions from ​Finance and Sales background

Representative of UBL Fund Managers shortlisted ​3-4 ​candidates and ​are willing to feedback OCS about the selection soon.

Sapphire Textile Mills

Sapphire Textile Mills Ltd. conducted a recruitment drive in collaboration with OCS at UMT Lahore. The purpose of this session was to interview UMT graduates and shortlist them for the position of Trainee Floor Manager.

Sapphire Textile Mills is a vertically integrated composite textile unit, manufacturing cotton yarn, fabric and home textile products. STML is the flagship company of the Sapphire Group and also on of the Lead Players in the Textile Composite sector and enjoying more than 10% share in the sector's sales (listed Companies only). STML was incorporated as a public limited company in Pakistan in 1969 and its shares are listed on Karachi Stock Exchange. Manufacturing units of the Company are located in Sind and Punjab and consist of 120,632 spindles, 3,120 rotors, 292 looms and 215 stitching machines.

About 20 UMT BBA/MBA graduates participated in this session.

Faysal Bank Limited

Office of Career Services organized a recruitment drive session with Faysal Bank at UMT Lahore campus. Mr. Umer Gulsher Awan (HR Business Partner) from Faysal Bank visited the campus to conduct “Employment Test” for its “Management Trainee Officer Program” after a brief company presentation.

Faysal Bank Limited was incorporated in Pakistan on October 3rd, 1994 as a public Limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984. Currently, the Bank’s shares are listed on the Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Stock exchanges. Faysal Bank is engaged in Commercial, Retail, Corporate and Islamic banking activities. The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) and JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company Limited have determined the Bank’s long term rating as ‘AA’ and short term rating as ‘A1+’.

In the test, thirty two (32) graduates of UMT from Bachelor and Master Degree Programs appeared; after the test eighteen graduates (18) declared qualified by the Bank for the next round of assessment.

Cybernet conducted a recruitment drive in the shape of an induction and walk-in interview sessions at UMT Lahore campus. Cybernet, a part of Lakson Group of Companies, is a leading internet and Data Communication Network Service Provider in Pakistan. The company focuses on providing specialized solutions for different enterprises with end to end solutions, be it Single-site or Multi-site Data and Internet connectivity solutions, Wholesale or Multi-homed internet solutions, Local or International VPN solutions, Backhauling Solutions, Enterprise Voice Solutions, Cloud Power Hosting, Disaster Recovery and Data Center Colocation services and Enterprise or SMB web and e-mail solutions.

Around 70+ particpants/graduates were present at the company presentation session and about 18 UMT graduates participated in the the walk-in interviews conducted by Cybernet on spot.

The purpose of this recruitment drive was to offer UMT graduates technical positions at Cybernet. The positions included Trainee Engineers, Sales Executive and Sales Coordinator.

32 Participants from different disciplines appeared for this test. The total comprised of participants from BS-Textile, MBA and Fashion & Luxury Management.

OCS in collaboration with Avanza Solutions organized a recruitment drive for BSC final semester students for the positions of software engineers. The recruitment drive started with a presentation on the company followed by question and answers session. The presentation was given by Mr. Ali Zeeshan Bhatti–Assistant HR Manager.

Total 67 students had participated for this test.
